1893 World's Fair

Kehinde Wiley
Kehinde Wiley creates larger-than-life-size portraits that mix historical Western European painting styles such as French Romanticism, Rococo, and Baroque with images from contemporary urban streets. Fort Worth Landmarks in the 1950s: Watercolors by Bror Utter
Seventeen brilliant watercolors by Bror Utter (1913–1993) depict historic Fort Worth structures, some of which still stand while others were torn down many years ago. The Eddleman-McFarland House, St. Ignatius Academy, Knights of Pythias, and First National Bank are some of the buildings represented.

Mayfest
This year’s Mayfest will focus on water-related activities. The City of Grand Prairie’s Environmental Services will showcase a wide variety of aquatic demonstrations, exhibits and conservation tips. The Grand Prairie ISD fine arts students and faculty will provide musical and dramatic performances. Grand Prairie Parks and Recreation will offer information on summer camps, swimming pools, golf courses and other programs. Arts and crafts vendors, a solar telescope demonstration, festival foods and more will all be part of Mayfest.
