1893 World's Fair

Kehinde Wiley

Fort Worth Landmarks in the 1950s: Watercolors by Bror Utter
Seventeen brilliant watercolors by Bror Utter (1913–1993) depict historic Fort Worth structures, some of which still stand while others were torn down many years ago. The Eddleman-McFarland House, St. Ignatius Academy, Knights of Pythias, and First National Bank are some of the buildings represented.

Fishin' Fun
The creeks and pond will be brimming with farm-raised catfish and home-style fun. Kids, you can use your own bait and tackle, or borrow ours to bring in the big one. Family History Day
In addition to the opportunity to view the current exhibit, The Reluctant Confederates: North Texas in the Civil War, for half the regular admission price, NTHC’s Curator of Collections and Exhibits, Bryan Lean, will present a discussion entitled “How to Care for Your Family Photos” at 1 and 3. If you have ever been curious about what archival paper is, why you should not store photos in shoeboxes, or what is wrong with the magnetic or “sticky” photo albums that were popular in the 1980s this is a presentation you don’t want to miss this. Harold Sickler, Camp Commander of the Sons of Union Civil War Veterans General E.E. Ellsworth Camp #18, will be available at 2 and 2:30 to discuss a “Day in the Life of a Soldier.” Come learn about what soldiers wore, ate, and how they lived during these presentations.
