Blending the Old and the New: Quilts by Paul D. Pilgrim
Exhibit features 29 quilts from the Paul D. Pilgrim Collection at the Museum of the American Quilter’s Society in Paducah, Kentucky. The late Paul Pilgrim collected antique "orphan quilt blocks" and pieced quilts from them that display a true blending of contemporary sensibility and antique charm.

Denise Fleming: Painting with Paper
Original book illustrations by children's author and artist Denise Fleming. Using hand-made paper and a variety of cut paper techniques, Fleming's illustrations come to life through vibrant textures and colors. Alvarado - Country Critters Pumpkin Patch
Pumpkin Patch visit includes a bounce house, tractor playground, train ride, petting zoo, hay ride, maze, and a pumpkin patch where the kids get to pick a pie sized pumpkin and decorate it with stencils and markers. The adults receive a jack-o-lantern pumpkin, and the kids also get to hear a story teller while enjoying a cookie and apple juice (adults get home made pumpkin bread). Fort Worth - Boo at the Zoo
That's not the wind howling, it's all the "spooktacular" fun you'll find at Fort Worth Zoo's 17th Annual Boo at the Zoo. Boo at the Zoo is a safe, family-friendly fall event held for six wild nights. Guests take home a bag of treats, but ours is no ordinary Halloween party. When the clock strikes 5:30, the Zoo grounds turn into a haven of happy trails, pumpkin patches and wonderful webs that only a superhero could weave.

Fort Worth - Hangman's House of Horrors

This is a very special class designed to provide continuing support for you and your new baby during his/her first two weeks of life to age six months. Taught by a certified educator, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and explore issues on such topics as breastfeeding, baby care and development and the postpartum experience.  Have fun learning infant massage or postpartum exercises that you and baby can do together.  Activities will be engaging and fun and will help you create a together time with your child that will enhance your experience as you begin your new role as a parent.  Registration is required.
