Eligibility

All businesses physically located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex were eligible to be nominated for the Best of the Metroplex Family Choice Award™ in their respective categories.

A minimum of fifty (50) verified* nominations were required before the business was listed as a finalist for voting.

Nominations

Who can nominate? Only parents living in the Dallas-Fort Worth area could nominate a business for the Best of the Metroplex Family Choice Award™. Businesses could not nominate themselves.

*Verification: Nominors were required to enter a valid email address and phone number. Parents submitting nominations were asked (1) to confirm their nominations online, (2) further verify their nominations by re-entering a computer generated 4 digit security code and (3) to verify their nominations by clicking on the link sent to the email provided. IP addresses were checked to verify geographic location and number of nominations (we understand that some IP addresses are shared by employees and directly contacted nominees for verification under this

Voting

Voting was held during October-November 2009 and the winners were announced on December 1,  2009. Parents could vote only once per category. IP addresses were be verified and duplicate submissions were voided.
