Eligibility
All businesses
physically located in the Dallas-Fort Worth
Metroplex are eligible to be nominated for the Best of the Metroplex Family Choice Award™
in their respective categories.
A minimum of fifty (50) verified* nominations
are required before the business will be listed
as a finalist for voting.
Nominations
Who can
nominate? Only parents living in the
Dallas-Fort Worth area may nominate a business
for the Best of the Metroplex Family Choice
Award™. Businesses may not nominate themselves.
How do I nominate a business? Click on
"Nominate
Your Favorite Business" and fill in only the
fields to the categories for which you would
like to nominate a business. You will receive an
email asking you to verify your nominations and
must click on the link within that email for
your nomination to count.
*Verification: Nominators are required to
enter a valid email address and phone number.
Parents submitting nominations will be asked to confirm their nominations online after they
click "submit."
All email addresses will be automatically
verified, and
IP addresses will be checked to verify
geographic location and number of nominations
(we understand that some IP addresses are shared
by employees and may directly contact nominators
for verification under this circumstance).
Is there a limit to the number of businesses
a parent can nominate? No. Parents may have
more than one favorite and can nominate more
than one business for a single category provided
that each nomination is verified. However,
parents may not nominate the same businesses
more than once per category. Duplicate
nominations are void.
What is the
nomination period? The nomination period ends
on September 30, 2011.
What if only one business receives the
required number of nominations for a specific
category? That business will be eligible
for votes, but must receive the minimum number
of votes required to receive the Award. Voting
criteria will be published following the
nomination period.
Voting
Businesses that
receive a minimum of 50 verified nominations
will be eligible to receive votes for the Best
of the Metroplex Family Choice Awards™. Voting
will be held during October-November 2011 and
the winners will be announced in December 2011.
