Victoria Patel
Mom to Leila 5
years and Holden 3 years-Owner of 2 StrollerFit
Franchises in the Frisco and Plano area
MM - What is your
most memorable moment of becoming a mom?
With my first child, Leila, it was seeing and
holding her for the first time. With my son, Holden,
it was the moment I realized that you can love your
second child just as much as the first.

MM - What
activities do you like to do with your children
?
We love to do art projects, read books, kick the
soccer ball, dance around and generally be silly.
MM - What is a typical day in your life
?
What I’ve learned as a mom is to expect the
unexpected. Have a plan, but know that plan might
change 10 times throughout the day. My work is mixed
throughout the day between classes, meetings, school
drop off’s and pick up’s, errands and outside
activities. It’s about changing hats throughout the
day; mommy, instructor, friend, wife, business
owner, student. It’s never boring that’s for sure.
MM - How do you balance work and motherhood?
I do the best I can. It is a balancing act and
quite honestly, some days are more balanced than
others. It’s also about being flexible and willing
to work when the kids are napping or after they have
gone to bed at night. I’m lucky because I get to
work around my kids schedules and take them with me
to work. It’s a lot of hard work, but I wouldn’t
trade it for anything.
MM - What advice can you give to moms
interested in operating a franchise or starting
their own business
?
Go for it! Do your research and make sure that you
really love and are passionate about what you’re
doing. Owning your own business is about
perseverance and commitment, but if you love it, it
will make the roller coaster ride much smoother. A
wise person told me, “Choose a job that you would be
willing to do for free.”
MM - What advice can you give to moms about
incorporating fitness into their lives?
We all have the same 24 hours in a day. If you are
having trouble fitting it in, you need to 1. Find a
program that works for you-StrollerFit makes it easy
for you, because you are able to bring your baby to
workout, you are surrounded by friends (and good
accountability partners), your babies/toddler are
entertained and get to socialize and you’re role
modeling healthy behavior for your family. 2.
Schedule your workouts just like a doctor’s
appointment. You wouldn’t miss your child’s 12 month
well check, would you? Make an investment in
yourself, your entire family will reap the
benefits!!
MM -
What is
the best advice you received about being a mom or
raising a child, and what advice would you give
?
Every time you think you don’t have the energy to do
one more thing, you find it in you! Savor all the
special moments, the good and the bad. Start a
blog/scrapbook/or find a way to record all the
things your kids do and say. You think you will
remember everything, but you don’t .
MM - Do you have a motto you would like to
share with other moms?
“See life through the eyes of a child.”
