To earn your trust and confidence in the Internet and in Metroplex Baby, we are disclosing our Privacy Policy concerning the methods and uses of the information that we collect. Our Privacy Policy is intended to notify you of what personally identifiable information of yours is collected; what organization is collecting the information; how the information is used; with whom the information may be shared; what choices are available to you regarding collection, use and distribution of the information; what kind of security procedures are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of information under Metroplex Baby's control; and how you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.  Our Privacy Policy outlines the type of information we collect and store, our usage policy, and who to contact with questions or concerns.

1. What personal information about you do we collect and how do we use the information we collect?

Metroplex Baby collects some personal information about you when you fill out a Registration Form when registering. The Registration Form asks you among other things for your city, your zip code, your e-mail address, and the birthdays of your children.  We collect that information so that we are better able to provide our users with listings and events in which you may be interested.. 

We use all of the information we collect about you to customize the features and services we provide to you.  This information may also be used by advertisers who may utilize the information to determine what advertisements, promotions, contests, and special offers you may be interested in - although we will not share your e-mail addresses with any third party for this purpose.  In addition, this information, in an aggregate or statistical form, may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising or other uses.  However, your e-mail address will not be disclosed to any person or entity except: (a) as required by law; (b) to comply with legal process; (c) if necessary to enforce the terms of service; (d) to investigate claims that such contents violate the rights of third-parties; and (e) to protect the rights or property of Metroplex Baby.

Metroplex Baby may also use the information we collect to occasionally notify you about important functionality changes to the site, new services, promotions, contests, and special offers we think you'll find valuable.

We may also use e-mail addresses and other personal information to contact visitors who communicate with us.  For example, Metroplex Baby may direct e-mail to users who provide us with their e-mail addresses for specific purposes such as receiving e-mail newsletters or being notified of certain events.  Any e-mail newsletter will always contain instructions on how to discontinue receipt of the newsletter.  If you choose to no longer receive such information and opt-out from any future mailings, you can simply follow unsubscribe instructions provided with each e-mail delivered or contact info@metroplexbaby.com.

In addition, if you choose to correspond with us through e-mail, we may retain the content of your e-mail messages together with your e-mail address and our response.

2. What kind of security procedures are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of the information under Metroplex Baby's control?

Whenever Metroplex Baby handles your personal information, we take steps to ensure that your personal information is treated securely and in accordance with the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy.  We have implemented a variety of security measures to maintain the security of your personal information including containing all of your personal information behind our secured server network and limiting its accessibility to a limited number of authorized persons who have special access rights to such systems.

3. With whom your personal information may be shared and how can you expect those third parties to use such information?

As a general rule, Metroplex Baby will not disclose any of your personal information except when we have your permission or under special circumstances where the law requires it or under the circumstances described below.  No portion of the information you provide on the Registration Form is available to the general public.  We may, at times, share the information you include on your Registration Form and elsewhere on our site -- except for your email address -- with certain third party advertisers and sponsors most of whom are advertisers and retailers of goods and services, but this is specifically described to you prior to collection or prior to transferring the information to such persons.  Note that when you click on the promotional messages or graphics that you receive from our sponsors, or on a hyperlink that we provide to another site, you may be brought to other internet sites not operated by us.  Metroplex Baby L.L.C. cannot assure you that the privacy policies relating to these internet sites are adequate.  Our Privacy Policy applies only to this site and not to other web sites to which we link.

4. What other information is collected and how does Metroplex Baby use it?

Metroplex Baby gathers certain usage information like the number and frequency of users to our site and its pages, certain demographic information regarding users, the operating system and Web browser that a user uses and the identity of a user's Internet Service Provider.  Such information is only used by us in the aggregate to reflect the population as a whole rather than focused on individuals in order to allow us to determine how much our users use certain portions of the site so that we can improve the site to make it is as appealing as we can make it for as many of our users as possible.  We may also disclose some of this aggregate information and user statistics pursuant to confidentiality agreements in order to describe our services to current and prospective partners and sponsors.  In addition, like many other web sites with paid advertising, we may disclose some of this aggregate information to advertisers to inform them of the number of people who have seen and clicked on their advertisements.  Generally, this information is collected through traffic data and may entail the use of numeric codes that identify computers (but not specific users) such as IP addresses and through the use of "cookies".

5. What is a "cookie" and how does Metroplex Baby use "cookies"?
